Florida Crystals and other Florida Rice Growers Join USA Rice Farmers, Underscoring the Success of our State’s Industry

As rice farmers since the 1980s, we are excited that Florida rice farmers have officially become members of USA Rice Farmers, the leading national organization representing all U.S. rice farmers.

The organization serves to ensure the health and vitality of the United States' rice industry by advocating on behalf of farmers, millers, merchants and allied businesses.

Growing rice in rotation with our sugarcane is an important part of our regenerative agriculture program that helps rebuild our soil and sequester carbon while helping us feed millions of people each year. We are proud to have pioneered organic rice farming in Florida, and our organic rice is now Regenerative Organic Certified® (ROC®). 

USA Rice Farmers is one of three charter members of the USA Rice Federation and is composed entirely of rice farmers from Arkansas, California, Florida, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, and Texas.

Daniel Cavazos, Director of Rice and Organic Farming, is a member of the USA Rice Farmers 2022-24 Rice Leadership Development Class and the first person from Florida to participate in the program.
