The 15th Annual Loop for Literacy took place on Saturday, February 8, at Bryant Park in Lake Worth Beach, Florida. Hundreds of participants gathered to support literacy initiatives across the community. Organized by the Literacy Coalition of Palm Beach County, the event raised vital funds to provide literacy programs for children and adults, helping ensure that individuals receive the support they need to succeed in school and life.

As presenting sponsor once again, we were proud to join the cause in a big way, as nearly 80 employees participated in the event, reinforcing our commitment to education and community development!

“It was a great family event to raise awareness and funds for literacy,” said Susan Needham, Sr. Director, Global Supply Chain, who won first place in the Women’s Masters 5K Run.

The family-friendly fundraiser featured a 24-mile bike ride, a 5K run/walk and children's races, including a 1-mile fun run and a 100-yard dash. Participants enjoyed a certified course with AccuChip timing, awards and refreshments, while all registrants received a race t-shirt and a book-themed finisher medal. Each registered child was also gifted a book!

“Reading is fundamental,” said Raul Mejia, Capital & Services Buyer. “In our household, we have instilled in our daughter the importance of being literate. It was incredible to attend the Loop for Literacy event surrounded by colleagues and others in our community who share the same passion for reading.”

The event saw strong community participation with individuals and families coming together to support literacy.
