Florida Crystals Sponsors Take Stock in Children Scholarships for 30 Promising Youth from the Glades

Florida Crystals was proud to sponsor scholarships for 30 graduating high school seniors from the Class of 2021 in Palm Beach County as part of our support for Take Stock in Children, an organization that provides opportunities for higher education.

We have been proud to collaborate with Take Stock for more than 15 years. Our funding for mentoring and college scholarships is focused on students from the Glades communities of western Palm Beach County, where Florida Crystals was founded 60 years ago. 

We were thrilled to see each of our 30 sponsored students graduate from the program during Take Stock’s June 7 ceremony. Caroline Villanueva, Florida Crystals' South Florida External Affairs Manager, and Shiva Ahrens, our Sr. Agricultural Research Scientist and Take Stock board member, surprised the students with flowers and a $100 gift card to be put toward college supplies.
